Hanging up on Potential Customers

Postby lsechrest on Tue Jul 28, 2009 10:14 am

Recently, I was referred to a small restaurant, in the town where much of my family lives, as a potential client for our customer alliance services. We don't usually dine at this restaurant (as a family), for many reasons, but I thought, let me contact them and see if we can do business together. During the phone conversation, the owner hung up on me. He decided it wasn't worth talking to me.

But wait a minute, couldn't I be a potential customer? Couldn't he have invited me in for lunch so I could experience his restaurant?

It's an interesting concept, "Could you be hanging up on a potential customer when you reject someone's services?

Absolutely, and obviously, I will not be patronizing this establishment.

Has this ever happened to you? Let us know,
